Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder

Hey everyone..

So I just had to pop in for a quick update about updates.
I've only been blogging a couple months and I've done I think maybe two hauls on my blog so far, I know I could just go check but I'm not going to (hahaha).
I'm going to be doing a haul update anywhere from 4-8 weeks after every haul because obviously who the fuck cares if we don't know how those products ended up working out.
I'm saying 4-8 weeks because obviously I'd need more time if there are skin care items in the haul and also to be sure that I have enough time to use everything multiple times and with different products. My last post was actually an update for the Melt Cosmetics Haul I did in December, so I guess I'm not full of shit after all. Look at me following through.

Well in my last actual haul post (February Ulta Haul),
(No, it's not from Ulta (such a rebel))
Well I couldn't wait until my update so here we go biotches, this just turned into a Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder Review. Surprise!
(I know the case is powdery, I've been using the shit out of it)

I had been wanting to try this powder for what seems like forever, it had just been sadly waiting on my favorites list but as soon as I hit pan on a few powders I went powder crazy and finally brought this baby home (plus a bunch of other stuff oops).

I feel like we all know what Nars packaging looks like, sleek, smooth, compact, matte black, and super sexy with of course their thin, perfectly crisp, white text (frequently imitated). There's just something so pleasing about Nars packaging both visually and physically as weird as that sounds.

The inside of the compact has a large lid sized mirror which is really crispy clear a all around a great quality mirror, it also comes with a thin flat sponge like pad which I don't personally use.
The Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder itself has the tiniest reflects in it and at first sight you'd think this powder is shimmery but good news it's not shimmery whatsoever more like a super subtle and natural luminosity.
This powder is also super fine and super light and when you dip your brush and give it a swirl you might think it's not working or that there's nothing on your brush but believe me it's there.
I've heard a lot of people say that they scrape the top layer off and I do know that some lower scale drugstore brands do oddly require this to function properly but please believe me when I say you do not need to do that to this product. So even though it might look like there's nothing there, go ahead and set your under eyes with it, hell even go in for a double dip and apply more of this almost invisible powder (I know I do) and let the magic happen.
Oh my fuck!! Seriously!!
(I've been using this a couple works and as you can see there's not even a dent)

I had the best under eye days when I started using this powder, I tried this Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder with multiple concealers, high end and drugstore and had beautiful results with all. I haven't had any creasing, it didn't leave my under eyes looking or feeling cake-y or dry, and it really is brightening. I've also used this to set my entire face just to test that out too and it worked beautifully just like the eyes, makeup glided over it flawlessly. It was very long wearing and had my skin feeling smooth to the touch and looking flawless all day.
I didn't need to reapply powder not even once when I used this to set my entire face. I have combo skin (oily t zone & dry face) and I had no oil peeking through at all, this powder has a soft matte finish but I honestly didn't expect it to keep my oily ass t zone in check as well as it did and it also did not cling to any drier areas of my face.

After using the Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder I must say that I really do think that they knew what they were doing when they made this formula almost invisible because you truly only need very little and the way they've formulated it and pressed it super tight really allows for you to only get what you actually need. So many (including myself) have gotten used to baking and using a crap ton of powder that we mistake a super light barely there formula such as this as a flaw but after you play with it, it's actually quite a refreshing change and I am hooked. This will also be amazing as it heats up in the spring and summer because it is so fucking light and kept me matte all day without looking washed out or lifeless thanks to tiny light reflecting particles.
Although it is pricey I'm thinking (hoping) it'll last a while because I only set my under eyes with this for the most part but I guess we'll see because I'm already envisioning this beautiful powder all over my face.
